Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by you
If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact me as soon as possible. Cancellations made before work has begun are not charged.
Cancellations by me
If I need to cancel a scheduled job before work begins (weather, emergency, etc.), you will receive a full refund of any deposit or payment made, or the option to reschedule.
Once work has begun
Because monument cleaning is a manual, on-site service, no refunds are issued once work has been performed. If you have concerns about the work performed, contact me directly and I will address them.
A Note on Results
Every monument I clean is treated with preservation-first methods aligned with NPS Preservation Brief 48 and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards — meaning I use approaches proven to protect the stone, not just make it look good for a photo.
That said: I restore stone to the best condition safely achievable — not "like new." Age, weathering, staining, and the stone's own material history all play a role in the final result. Deep-set biological staining, mineral leaching, and old repair work from others may lighten but not fully disappear. My goal is a respectful, lasting improvement — not a cosmetic illusion that ignores what the stone has been through.
If a repair need (cracks, joint separation, inscription fading) falls outside safe cleaning and preservation scope, I'll always tell you plainly and refer you to a qualified monument maker rather than attempt work that isn't mine to do.
Deposits
If a deposit is required to hold a scheduling slot, it will be applied to the final invoice.
